Terms and conditions

Description Of Works: The following descriptions and specifications form the basis of all quotations and contracts undertaken by Nobilia GB Ltd. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they fully understand the description and specification quoted that they comply with their specific project.

Ordering Procedure: All colour choices and call offs must be sent in writing to Nobilia GB. Upon receipt a check measure will be arranged of the plots. Subject to a clean check measure goods will be ordered from their relative suppliers. In total we require five working weeks from a clean order to deliver to site for all products. Please allow six working weeks within holiday shutdowns (one week summer/Christmas period).

Completion Dates: All completion dates must be advised in writing to the project manager at Nobilia GB by plot with a minimum of nine working weeks and will be subject to agreed specification and the above ordering process being followed. Any variation to specification will put back the completion date from the date variations have been agreed along with the above ordering process to 9 working weeks.

Liquidating Damages: Nobilia GB will not accept any liquidating damages above 2.5% of the total agreed value of the contract (Nobilia GB Goods And Services).

High Gloss Products: Over a period of time blemishes, markings and scratches may well appear. This is due to the nature of High Gloss fascias, worktops and carcases and is unavoidable. It is not deemed to be a product defect.

Live State of Play: A weekly update from our offices, this advises delivery of goods / delivery dates / remedials, state of play. Please be aware if an item is required but does not appear on the live state of play it has not been ordered and will require notifying to Nobilia GB.

Installation State of Play: A weekly update from our offices will be sent to all parties. This will advise installation of goods and general state of play within plots.

Installation Of 3rd Party Products: Where agreed Nobilia GB will install, connect & cut out for third party products. This is subject to goods being in situ at time of furniture installation. If goods are not available at time of installation Nobilia GB reserve the right to charge an additional return visit cost inline with our half/full day rates. Damages and missing items of third party products are not the responsibility of Nobilia GB.

As Requested Suppliers: Should a supplier be specially requested from outside of our approved suppliers list Nobilia GB reserve the right to state ‘Nobilia GB shall accept no responsibility for the performance or subsequent effect on our performance due to a supplier of which has been requested from outside our approved suppliers list’

Details: Furniture will be delivered to site on our own HGV transport vehicle (if a site cannot accept HGV vehicles please inform our representative to requote for a second delivery by 7.5t vehicle (extra cost). Our appliance suppliers will deliver appliances to site. All goods will be unloaded by our delivery drivers and must be met on site by your representatives. All goods must be checked for damages and missing items at the point of delivery. No claim for missing or damaged items can be permitted post-signed delivery. All distribution to plot or storage to be made by site. Site will be responsible for management /Call Down of Goods/ check measurement or handing of kitchens.

Details: Furniture will be delivered to site on our own HGV transport vehicle (if a site cannot accept HGV vehicles please inform our representative to re-quote for a second delivery by 7.5t vehicle (extra cost). Our appliance suppliers will deliver appliances to site. All goods will be unloaded by our delivery drivers and will be met on site by our representatives. Nobilia will be responsible for all Horizontal Movement; site will be responsible for all Vertical movement. Nobilia’s Project Management will carry out all check measurement of plots and liase with site management as and when required to do so.

The undertaking of all on site cutting and scribing of worktops and mitring of cornice, light pelmet, plinths, fillers and the fixing in place of all relevant items. All walls units and tall/mid housings will require fixing batons, provided by others. The assembly and bedding down of sink and taps to worktop supplied by Nobilia GB.

The provision of any necessary access cut outs in cabinets for appliance wiring and or plumbing tails and waste pipes in situ at time of installation. The fixing in position of any appliance supplied by Nobilia GB. Third party products are not included in this quote and must be agreed in writing at an extra cost. This shall be limited to connections from the cooker hood to either a suitable spigot position in the ceiling above the hood, or to a suitable wall outlet, and others must previously install these.

All relevant documentation for all appliances provided by Nobilia GB would be taken out of the appliances and handed over to site.

The removal of debris and packaging associated with our installation which will be placed in the clients skip on site, or otherwise collected together tidily for the clients disposal. No provision will be made for Nobilia GB to provide skips.

The completed stage of the works will be presented to site for sign off (see Satisfaction Note). Upon signature the kitchen will be digitally photographed. At this stage the responsibility of the goods becomes site.

Please note: Up to 5 working days should be allowed for the execution of the installation and this is subject to the plot being in a fit state to install. Where granite is concerned within the specification, approximately 10 additional working days will be required for templates to be taken and off site fabrication, prior to the installation of the work surfaces; again this is subject to the plot being in a fit state to install.

Elite Service:

Details: In addition to Premier Service installation, Elite connects installation will be to isolation valves on second fix plumbing from the correct locations (provided by others) to the wet appliances and sink. We will also hard wire into a electrical second fix point or plug into surface mounted boxes that are in the correct location (provided by others).

It is the responsibility of site to ensure that all service connections are made by others, and that these services are live prior to commissioning by Nobilia GB, each appliance will then be switched on and run through a short cycle where appropriate, to check for correct operation and leakages. When the commissioning has been completed, the relevant supplies will be turned off. Nobilia GB will provide a commissioning certificate to site.

Gas appliances will not be connected or commissioned by Nobilia GB and the client should make separate arrangements for this. Any special requirements not mentioned in the above descriptions are deemed not to be included in the quotations and should be advised to our representative.

Payment Schedule:
Supply Only: Payment Due 30 days month end of invoice date. No retentions. Supply and all Installations: Nobilia stage sign off is set up in line with your own valuation dates, due dates and payment dates (subject to the payment date being no longer than 60 days from valuation date). All stages are to be signed for on our satisfaction note and are subject to the above payment schedule regardless of remedial items. 5% retentions are held in view of any outstanding remedials, 2.5% of which is payable upon practical completion and 2.5% payable at the end of two year NHBC. (See attached example of our satisfaction note and white card payment schedule) Ordered Goods: Any item (Furniture/Appliances/Third Party Products) called off by the client, which is unable to be installed due to the state of the plot, will become liable for payment. All payments will be due 30 days month end. Any special requirements not mentioned in the above descriptions are deemed not to be included in the quotations and should be advised to our representative If works commence on site without the terms and conditions being signed it is deemed the client is working to the above terms and conditions.

Appliance Installation by third party Supplier
1. All appliances must be delivered into requested plot, Nobilia GB will not carry out loading out into plot.
2. Nobilia GB will take no responsibility for damages, for whatever reason.
3. Nobilia GB will carry out our standard one return visit Free Of Charge. Any subsequent visit will be at our normal half day/full day rate (see Terms and conditions)
4. All agreements for connection of appliances are subject to agreement by your sub contract M & E contractors who will be sub Contracted to Nobilia GB to carry out said works.
5. Our Stage Sign off procedures will remain in place as usual.
